Pneumatic Fender
Pneumatic fender (Yokohama type fender) is the most suitable anti-collision fender for use by ships. It is filled with high-pressure air and can be easily de-breathed, allowing for simple and cost-effective relocation and re-commissioning in other locations.
JettyGuard pneumatic fenders are produced and tested in accordance with ISO17357-1:2014 standard to ensure quality and reliability.
Pneumatic fenders offer two different internal pressure levels to cover a wide range of performance. Pneumatic fenders range in diameter from 300 mm to 4,500 mm and lengths from 500 mm to 9,000 mm, as well as special sizes.
The standard colors are black and gray (navy) and other colors are available on request.
Our customers often use this product for ship-to-ship and ship-to-dock operations. One of the main features of our pneumatic fenders is the excellent wear resistance of our products. This creates a low-friction surface that allows our fenders to provide superior impact absorption while maintaining durability.
JettyGuard pneumatic fenders can be produced in different ways, each with its own advantages if compared correctly. The most common methods are molding and wrapping.
The main body structure of the fender consists of a thick outer rubber layer with high tensile and tear strength that can withstand weather conditions and harsh use, the synthetic tire cord layer is enhanced at an ideal angle to maintain internal pressure and distribute stress evenly, and the inner rubber layer seals the air with specially formulated polymer compounds, making JettyGuard pneumatic fenders trouble-free and extremely reliable.
Smaller pneumatic fenders are available in sling types, while larger pneumatic fenders usually have tire mesh systems. This is a cost-effective solution that easily extends the life expectancy of your product.
When in contact with ships and other sea vessels, our pneumatic fenders provide a low pressure barrier. This significantly reduces the likelihood of damage to the ship as well as to the guardrail or dock. It also enables you to use our products in liquid cargo ship applications and to protect vessels with sensitive equipment.
